What: The Unsigned Hype Battle is a showcase of innovative, creative individuals presented by I Got It For Free ,One VS Many, along with The Source Magazine. The event includes a beat battle between emerging producers, an Unsigned Hype battle between upcoming emcees, and a panel of industry experts. Along with The Source Magazine and other special guest judge.*
When: Event launch is October 7, 2012; 6pm - 12am. Other dates TBA.
Where: LIV nightclub, 2001 11th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Admission: FREE (MUST REGISTER)
The Panel : The Source Magazine , The Board Administration, DJ Quicksilivia of WKYS 93.9 and more (TBA)
Moderators: Pharoh Martin (WKYS 93.9) and Angela Byrd (The Source Magazine).
The Battle: 32 artists will compete in 7 rounds (16 Producers in 4 rounds, 16 emcees/vocalists
in 3 rounds) with 1-2 minutes of original music (track length varies between rounds). The Top 3
winners in each category (based on panel and audience feedback) will receive prizes including a
feature on TheSource.com, product, and cash.**
